Depois dos shows que agitaram a Cidade do Rock no último final de semana, o Rock in Rio volta com força total para a segunda série de apresentações de estrelas da música nacional e internacional.

Se a abertura do festival foi marcada pelo pop, o reinício da maratona sonora tem line up dominado pelo soul, com destaque absoluto para para o lendário Stevie Wonder.

Confira abaixo as principais atrações do evento nesta quinta-feira, dia 29, e programe-se!

Internacionais:

Afrika Bambaataa: Mito do rap, Aasim Bey Bambaataa – esse é o nome real do músico – foi pioneiro ao criar as primeiras batidas e mixagens do Breakbeat e do Electro Funk. Líder da universal Zulu Nation, o DJ divide o palco com a cantora brasileira Paula Lima e o rapper português Boss AC. Palco Sunset, às 15h50.

Joss Stone: A cantora britânica de apenas 24 anos mostra todo o talento que a consagrou como uma as principais vozes do soul atual com músicas como. Palco Sunset, às 17h45.

Janelle Monaé: inspirada por artistas como Michael Jackson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix e Prince, Janelle conquistou a crítica e público com sua mistura de funk e hip-hop, nas quais esbanja os seus dons musicais. Palco Mundo, às 20h.

Ke$ha: a estrela traz para o festival seu pop escrachado, com canções que misturam o ritmos e melodias do gênero com letras que falam sobre “ser uma garota má”. Palco Mundo, às 21h40.

Jamiroquai: Jay Kay é o nome do líder do grupo Jamiroquai, que iniciou a carreira calcado no acid jazz, mas foi adotando um ritmo mais dançante e se rendendo ao pop ao longo da carreira. Palco Mundo, às 23h10.

Stevie Wonder: o currículo do mito é extenso: 50 anos de carreira, 25 prêmios Grammy e responsável por influenciar uma geração de artistas com sua fusão pop, R&B e soul. Palco Mundo, à 1h10.

Nacionais:

Marcelo Jeneci e Curumim: dotado de diversos talentos, Jeneci é cantor, compositor e pianista paulistano e integra a banda de Arnaldo Antunes com Curumin, que também canta e compõe, mas toca bateria. Palco Sunset, às 14h30.

Baile do Simonal e Diogo Nogueira + Davi Moraes: Os filhos de três grandes nomes da música brasileira se reúnem para fazer um show dançante, com um mix de samba, funk e soul. São eles: Wilson Simoninha e Max de Castro, filhos de Wilson Simonal, morto em 2000; Diogo Nogueira, filho de João Nogueira, que também faleceu no mesmo ano e Davi, filho de Moraes Moreira. Palco Sunset, às 21h.

Concerto Sinfônico Legião Urbana e Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira: Dado Villa-Lobos e Marcelo Bonfá, que integraram a banda de Renato Russo (1960 - 1996), recebem músicos como Dinho Ouro Preto, Herbert Vianna e Pitty para tocar novas versões de sucessos do Legião Urbana, em um apresentação que também contará com a Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira.
